Profile
Dana Khan began her career in the fashion industry as a designer of couture clothing for children and evening handbags, marketed with the label of her birth name, Renée La Prairie. Through her involvement with several beauty and fashion shows she was invited to join the staff of Miss International Pageants for their annual televised finals productions, coordinating the contestants and events during the finals.
After organizing several large charity events for American Cancer Society as well as music festivals, sports events and political events, she received her CSEP certification in Dallas, Texas, and was offered the position of Special Events Manager for the University of Texas. Dana has coordinated and directed events for many international celebrities, from US First Lady Laura Bush to comedian/actor Bill Cosby and Grammy-winning singers Lee Ann Womack, Michael Martin Murphy and Lyle Lovett.
Dana Khan has also served in several corporate board positions including Louisiana Governor Foster’s Energy Committee, Bethesda Health Clinic, Marathon Oil Company’s Government Affairs Committee, Texas Executive Women’s Network, Leadership Texas, Loaned Executive for United Way, Natural Gas Society of East Texas and Boys & Girls Clubs. She was the owner/CEO of the events management company Grand Moments and the owner/President of Rice Accounting & Administrative Services. She is also a degreed accountant.
Currently, Dana and her team continue to coordinate, choreograph, and style fashion shows; organize events in the Middle East, Europe and the United States; and provide project management and marketing solutions.
